This study compares women receiving two different IPV screening protocols to determine differences in effectiveness and whether there is variation by age or race/ethnicity. 600 medical charts were randomly selected from three urban reproductive health clinics (300 charts of clients with each screening procedure). Preliminary results indicate that the new screening tool identifies more IPV cases. Age and race differences exist in disclosure rates. disclosure rates of past versus current relationship violence are also discussed.
