Description:
The GESINE network against DV, located in west-german Ennepe-Ruhr-County has 5-year experience in working with and connecting health providers from different professions (doctors, nurses, midwifes,psycho- and physiotherapists, clinical staff, health administrations). Through training, coaching, providing materials,organizing conferences and networking GESINE aims(and succeeds) in involving the health care providers in the multi-professional violence intervention system. Recently GESINE (together with the institute of legal medicine Düsseldorf and SIGNAL e.V., Berlin) is running a germanwide pilot programm focusing on general practioners and gynecologists.
