This paper describes situation of health care response to domestic violence (DV) during last 7 years, based on intervention models at several hospitals in Viet Nam. The paper also discusses the opportunities and challenges for health sector to provide health support for DV victims; and provide recommendations for an comprehensive strategy to improve the quality of health services for victims at all levels of health system in Viet Nam.
