Description:
This presentation provides an overview of Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), an evidence-based mental health intervention for young children and their non-offending parents who are affected by intimate partner violence (IPV). This intervention recognizes that both parent and child may be traumatized by IPV, and has been found to be effective for each person. The presentation includes an overview of CPP and a discussion of the relevance of these principles to other systems of care for families affected by IPV.
