This symposium will provide an overview of research and community-based perspectives on responding to DV in the context of other lifetime trauma for both adult survivors and their children and emerging models for treating complex trauma in the context of ongoing DV, where legal, safety and custody issues abound. It will also offer practical strategies for building system capacity to address these issues in clinical and advocacy settings.
