I will present the innovative program: Teens Not Gone Wild. This program has been put on by LSU Nursing faculty and baccalaureate nursing students in primary and secondary schools in the metro New Orleans area. The program uses skits to debunk major cultural myths about teen violence, date rape and appropriate interpersonal boundaries. Assertiveness skills and media literacy are taught, including how to recognize violence and misogyny in the media.
