Description:
We will present the aims, method, pilot and baseline results of the weave randomised controlled trial- the largest screening and intervention intimate partner violence trial in general practice in the world. It involves 40 general or family practices and screens over 15,000 women for whether they are afraid of their partner. weave evaluates if an intervention involving screening with feedback, training for general practitioners, and brief counselling for abused women increases safety behaviours, psychological wellbeing and quality of life.
