Speaker:
Martha L. Coulter, Dr.P.H., M.S.W., University of South Florida College of Public Health

Presentation Format:
Scientific Program Report

Description:
This presentation will examine how issues, including the type of violence exposure and community factors such as access to housing, impact the long-term health and depression status of women who have left violent situations. Results indicate a persistent relationship between frequent emotional abuse and long-term health problems and depression in victims of domestic violence, and these problems may be hampered by access to resources that must be resolved on a community level.
