Description:
In Massachusetts in 2008, due to a dramatic increase in domestic violence homicides, the Governor directed the state Department of Public Health to issue a Domestic Violence Public Health Advisory. Working with an advisory group of the state’s leading domestic/sexual violence health care providers, Jane Doe Inc., The Massachusetts Coalition Against Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence and the Department of Public Health developed a response to raise awareness and improve health care best practices regarding intimate partner violence.
