Description:
Sex trafficking is a serious health and human rights issue worldwide. Most initiatives to address this problem are either law enforcement based or grass-roots advocacy based. This multi-country case study research project of sex trafficking of women and girls is the first hospital based initiative studying the issue from a public health and human rights approach. Results of the first year of the project, including insights from key informant interviews and preliminary recommendations for intervention will be discussed.
